John brings over 35 years of experience as a professional guitarist and educator, having studied classical and jazz guitar with renowned masters like John Marlow, Frank Baus, and Paul Bollenbach. His teaching career spans prestigious institutions such as Mary Washington University, the College of Southern Maryland, and Prince George’s Community College. As a performer, John has graced esteemed venues, including the Kennedy Center and the Austrian Embassy.
What styles and instruments do you teach?
John teaches in a variety of stringed instruments: the acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, ukelele, and mandolin. He tailors his plans based on your musical interests, whether it be rock, blues, jazz, or classical!
Is previous guitar knowledge required?
No. John teaches complete beginners, from kids to adults to seniors, as well as advanced players and professionals.
How long is each session?
John’s lessons are either 30 or 45 minutes long based on your preference. They are personalized, one-on-one, and done in a private studio environment.
